I really liked this book a lot....though I didn’t really like that there started to switch between to different couple’s romances about halfway through. Towards the end I almost forgot it was Myra and Todd’s story....or I thought it was. I didn’t like *****Spoiler Alert**** how it kept switching from Myra and Todd to Lizzy and Fin. Granted, they did meet in this book and Lizzy and Simon ended up returning with Fin. I enjoy Simon’s character very much though sometimes I think the author makes him more immature than his 11yrs, other times, older than his 11yrs. A very good cast of characters. I like the Druid element and the elements/magic they wield. It’s a nice change from the usual time travel historical romance...and then there’s that evil witch Grainna aka Grace Adams, she is very good as the worst type of evil witch you can imagine.....looking forward to reading Fin and Lizzy’s story....or the continuation of their story....

Silent Vows (Audible Audio Edition) Catherine Bybee David Monteath Audible Studios Books Reviews

I gave the book a five because Ms. Bybee is an excellent wordsmith who tells interesting stories with a keen knowledge of human nature. She also emphasizes strong family and friend relationships and her books are not filled with expletives. It is not a kids book though. I had not read fantasy books in the past until I tried her first book in the series and really liked it. This one was no disappointment and the reaction of Myra to going forward in time was as realistic as you can get in fantasy fiction. I would recommend to anyone, especially those who have read Katherine Bybee in the past or those looking for an entertaining story. I will be reading the next in the series.
Here is another wonderful book in the MacCoinnich Time Travel Trilogy, this time Myra is spotlighted. In the last book, we were left with a cliffhanger... Myra travels back in time to hide from the evil witch, Grainna. Myra is given instructions from her new sister in law Tara on how to act when she arrives. She has some explaining to do as she literally lands in the middle of a locked amusement park, but Myra claims amnesia. Officer Todd Blakely knows there is more to the story and plans to keep near Myra. Danger and intrigue follow the pair. When faced with the truth Todd is skeptical of the time traveling Myra.

Myra tracks down Lizzie, Tara's sister from the first book "Binding Vows". Lizzie helps Myra travel back to her awaiting family. When the time comes for Myra to return, she takes with her Lizzie, Simon (Lizzie's son) along with Todd. The romance for Todd and Myra simmers in the present time and ignites in the past. Catherine Bybee did a great job building up the intense fire between the two characters and wrote some sizzling love scenes. This book is a page turner and like the other books in the series, I hardly put it down.

Have I told you I just LOVE this series!!! If you love time travel, steamy romance, a bit of paranormal, and my beloved Highlanders, it is a must read!! Be sure to read them in correct order, while I read Highland Shifter first before this trilogy, this series would be best read in the order!

Once again Catherine Bybee left you wanting more.....the next book and final book in the trilogy is Redeeming Vows. I actually have it waiting on my to begin reading...
I am so hooked on the MacCoinnich Time Travel series. I stayed up all night again reading book 2 Silent Vows. The loss of sleep was worth it

Silent Vows starts right at the end of Binding Vows. Myra MacConnick has been warned by her mother Lora to flee and go into the future, where her sister in law Tara McAllistier is from. The Druid Witch Grianna is now after Myra to kill for her Virgin Druid Blood. Tara prepares Myra as best she can for the 21st century. Myra family builds the stone circle and sends Myra into the future.

Detective Todd Blakely must interview the newest Joan Doe who claims to have lost her memory. Todd thinks she is just another fake trying to milk the system. But there seems to be more to Myra/Jane Doe 33 then meets the eye. When Myra leaves the hospital and is attacked by thugs Todd arrives just in time to save her. He takes Myra to live with him and here begins the romantic, hot, sexy romance. Eventually Myra trust Todd with her story which is unbelievable. So, she shows Todd some of her Druid power. Myra has a letter she must deliver to Tara's sister Elizabeth McAllister know as Lizzy and her nephew Simone. At first Lizzy doesn't believe where her sister is but knows the handwriting is indeed her sisters. Once Myra thinks she is no longer in danger she Lizzy and Simone return to the 16th century 1576. Todd get a report about Grianna know as Gwen Adams is in the hospital. After an interview with her Todd knows that the danger has not passed for the MacConnicks. Fin, Myra's brother shows up at Todd's front door and punches him in the face. Todd immediately knows why and who this strange looking Scot is. As danger approaches Fin and Todd travel back in time to warn his family of Grianna intentions and revenge.

Giranna is the perfect evil villain. The story is well thought out and very fast paced. One of the reasons being to start this book when you have time to stay up all night. The conversations between the characters are believable, richly written. This is a really good story!! I Highly Recommend Silent Vows and Binding Vows. I am off to start reading Redeeming Vows Bk3. Another all nighter!!
